Director – Off-Premise Trade Marketing

Position Location: Headquarters

Position Summary:
The role will be to assume full responsibility for developing and leading PR USA’s Off-Premise team’s ‘go-to-market’ approach. This will be obtained through the development of off-premise strategies, streamlined processes and highly effective programming.

Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
Lead, coach and manage the off-premise Trade Marketing team to implement the established trade marketing strategy and processes. Continually evaluates team’s recommendations and proposed solutions to ensure processes are being adhered to.

Create and enforce off-premise channel standards and strategies for the portfolio that maximize resource allocation and ROI. Develop and secure the resources necessary to achieve meet set objectives.

Develop a comprehensive programming plan for the portfolio that ensures an effective fit for the appropriate off-premise channels and retail environment. Designate focus program months by brand and oversee calendar plan that is adhered to by the organization. Ensure programming synergies between National Accounts and the balance of the off premise universe.

Develop partnerships with Shopper Insights, Pricing, National Accounts, IAG and Category Management through collaboration and incorporate those insights and learnings into actionable plans.

Manage internal budgets delegated to the off-premise team.

Key Competencies:
Requires a Bachelors of Business degree; MBA and marketing degree a plus.

Experience / Background:
Requires a minimum of 5 - 7 years general work experience; minimum 5 years US Beverage Alcohol experience. Sales and marketing experience required; distribution and finance experience a plus.

Required Skills/Competencies:
Excellent leadership and management skills required. Intellectual ability required: problem analysis, commercial acumen, innovation, ability to influence and strategic perspective. Technical competencies required: English, computer programs, negotiations and communication/presentation. Personal characteristics: outgoing, team player, flexible and cross cultural awareness.

Working Conditions:
General Office:
Work is performed in a typical office environment.

Limited demands for movement and lifting.

Normal visual, hearing and language acuity required for correspondence and computer usage.


Estimate: 25-30% of time.
