PURPOSE OF POSITION:
To develop and execute a strategic vision of Access Services through collaboration with key internal and external customers while optimizing financial performance for the Practice and continuously improving the Patient/Family experience and the Provider experience, both referring and rendering. To ensure this vision is operational throughout the Practice by improving throughput in the call center and with all scheduling and registration processes.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Proven leader who can motivate staff, affect meaningful change and ensure accountability of direct reports as well as others involved in the process. Capable of relating to diverse age and demographic backgrounds. Analytical ability sufficient to evaluate data, make judgments and recommendations regarding operations and budgets, design protocols and generate well developed business reports. Possess knowledge of related outside regulating agencies, roles and responsibilities. Demonstrate attention to detail, organization, leadership and management skills. Demonstrate diplomacy, tact and professional demeanor. Be a strategic thinker who possesses organizational, analytical, supervisory and prioritization abilities. Working knowledge of quality and process improvement tools
§ Bachelor's Degree in a Related Discipline
§ 10 years progressively responsible managerial experience
§ Prior administrative and customer service experience within a complex Hospital.
§ MBA, MHA, MPA or other Advanced degree in Management Science
§ Knowledge of Quality Improvement from formal training and practical application of leading teams
§ Experience in healthcare registration or admissions and provider scheduling..
§ Knowledge of both public and private insurance regulations and operating requirements.
