We currently have an opportunity for a "Director, Product Management-Vertical "in our Glendale, CA, office. Job Summary:
Our continuously growing team is looking for a passionate individual to join YP.com as Executive Director of Vertical Product Management to apply their skills and techniques to one of the web's most successful brand! This position will report directly to the Vice President of Consumer Products. We are looking for someone with a passion for online marketing and an eagerness to learn more about the digital local search world. This position is located in our Glendale Office.

Job Details:
: Responsible for developing a vertical product vision and vertical strategy for the consumer products solution.

: Create vertical product concepts and definitions that can be understood by key stakeholders - Ad Product, Consumer Product, Engineering, Marketing and Sales teams

: Define and manage the backlog for assigned vertical solutions and work with in-bound product managers in ensuring detailed user stories and specifications are available for different features

: Work with Engineering and other Product Managers to define and own the overall release plan for vertical solutions

: Deliver relevant, scalable and innovative products from concept to successful implementation.

: Lead the product roadmap for all platforms (mobile, tablet, mobile web, web).

: Spearhead creative solutions that enhance and further the current products.

: Prioritize project according to user/business goals/needs, continually evaluate the performance of products and features against goals, develop recommendations for improvement, and manage product backlog.

: Provide leadership to the product management team, strengthening our capabilities for the future, and developing strong talent.

: Work with the Analytics team to analyze data and usage patterns of users and maintain an optimal experience.

: Work with service and sales organizations on product definition and execution issues.

: Translate the identified user and business needs into a product vision, definition and feature scope.

: Take ownership of products and work to resolve any issues that arise in a timely fashion.

: Collaborate across functional teams including User Experience Design, Editorial, Sales, Marketing and Technology to develop the features and functionality of the site.

: Manage upgrades, rebuilds and additional porting of applications.

: Develop reports for internal auditing and monitoring of services.

: Conceive, manage, and lead project design from start to finish for each assigned property.

: Work with content and engineering teams to prioritize features and define a product roadmap.

: Interact with other team members to incorporate their innovations and vice versa.

Candidate Requirements:
: A minimum of 8-10+ years of work experience in product management with an understanding of consumer research, product strategy, and online promotion.

: Strong experience in design and developing iOS and Android apps, mobile web, tablet.

: B.A. or MBA / BS or MS in engineering or related technical field.

: Must be self-motivated, entrepreneurial, detail-oriented, challenged by accountability, and an innovator.

: Must have the ability to operate independently, juggle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a results oriented environment.

: Extremely knowledgeable and on the cutting edge of mobile applications, WAP, SMS/MMS technologies, mobile media, emerging mobile technologies, and mobile marketing.

: Experience writing Product Requirement Documents (PRD's) and forecast models.

: Experience working with and account managing wireless carriers, developers, and/or other mobile service partners.

: Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, business writing skills required.

: Must be proficient in MS Office, including MS Project, Visio, Excel and PowerPoint. Familiar with XML, HTML, and Photoshop.

: Knowledgable in iOS, Android, Windows, WebOS, and Blackberry Platforms.

: Professional and friendly communication skills (written and verbal) and comfort communicating with Product, UX and Engineering team members at all levels.

: Ability to manage multiple projects.

: Pro-active in problem solving and taking responsibility to continuously improve our results.

: Excellent communication skills a must.

: Strong technology base, with awareness of developing trends and technology solutions.
