Scope of Position (i.e. projects involved with and role within group):
The Director, Vertical Programs - Healthcare is responsible for defining and delivering programs aligned to the Healthcare market segment to support the sale and adoption of the of the ONE Wireless Platform.
Day to Day Responsibilities:Vertical Segment Programs:
Develop and deliver plans to Strategic Sales to enable account penetration that incorporate an in-depth understanding of Healthcare, the overall wireless market, competitive analysis and address the customer value-chain.
Support Strategic Sales in achieving and exceeding defined quarterly revenue targets via assigned account plans.
Work with Healthcare industry leaders and organizations to understand trends, customer needs and provide thought leadership on wireless solutions to differentiate Corning.
Provide Healthcare oriented subject matter expert (SME) competency to strategic planning efforts.
Represent Corning at trade shows, corporate sponsored events, relevant trade associations, panels, councils, and other similar events or organizations.
Identify and qualify new product or application opportunities; insert into Discovery pipeline to evaluate feasibility of new features to solve market segment problems and increase differentiation of Corning’s platform.
Account Development Support:
Partner with Strategic Sales to define strategy to identify, penetrate and maximize revenue opportunity in key Healthcare accounts.
Duties include relationship development, presentations and deal support as necessary.
Plan, coordinate and communicate as necessary with internal Corning support resources – Strategic Sales, Solutions Engineering, Carrier/Enterprise Network Sales & Marketing - in the development of Healthcare specific plans and initiatives.
Responsible for program status updates and communications for the Corning executive team.
Marketing & Sales Resources:
Support the development of Healthcare specific Marketing and Sales resources, such as collateral, presentations, case studies, white papers, and other sales tools.
Travel Requirements (please note if international):
Travel up to 40% required.
Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time:
Bachelor’s degree in business, related field or equivalent Healthcare industry experience.
Required Years and Area of Experience:
Demonstrated track record of successful engagement with C-Level executives in Healthcare.
10+ years demonstrated experience in Healthcare specific marketing, planning or operations.
Successful track record in building business cases to support strategic investments, programs and roll-outs.
Proficiency in senior level solutions and services strategy in the IT or wireless industry related to Healthcare.
Demonstrated experience in creating business plans, account strategy and direction in a high paced technical environment.
Strong track record in presentation development and exceptional delivery to C-Level executives.
Highly motivated and results driven.
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
Experience working with the wireless industry preferred.
Experience interacting with Wireless Carrier organizations a plus.
