The Director of Human Resources establishes and implements all strategic objectives, policies and procedures. The Human Resources Director oversees both the strategic and transactional duties within the human resources area such as partnering in the business, organizational design, employee relations, compensation and tactical employee lifecycle changes. The position ensures that the Company maintains compliance with all local, state and federal regulations. This position reports to Newpark’s Vice President of Human Resources.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1.Develop HR support strategy for Drilling Fluids based on overall HR Operational strategy and execute through HR staff.
2.Coordinate and advise on HR Support activities including the development of processes, policies and tools to support the department.
3.Develop and manage initiatives to drive operational excellence and exceptional customer service including developing, maintaining, and continuously improving processes, through measurement practices, and department metrics reporting.
4.Monitor operational activity (volumes, key performance indicators/metrics and corrective action plans). Analyze and report on customer satisfaction levels.
5.Works towards solving complex business and employee issues and proactively heading off negative service trends. Develop and achieve performance goals and objectives in order to achieve customer expectations.
6.Manage workflow, handles escalations, proactively engage resources to address issues and effectively delegate workload across the teams.
7.Serves as partner and counselor to Senior Drilling Fluids Leadership providing guidance on how to drive efficiencies through teaming and employee engagement.
NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1.Assignments as directed by the Vice President of Human Resources and President of the business unit.
