Position Description

Develop and monitor the company's short-term and long-term financial plans and identify financial opportunitites to improve the company's profitability. Direct the monthly accounting close process and related variance analyses.

 Supervise staff of 3-5 indivduals to assist in the completion of the following:
 Accurate and timely completion of all internal financial reporting and variance analyses for company MLP's
 Completion of the entire budget process, including income, cash flow, capital and balance sheet for company MLP's
 Accurate and timely completion of all financial data provided to the rating agencies for company MLP's
 Accurate and timely completion of all forecasting activities
 Explain forecast, budget and actual results and variances to senior management including presentation of financial information to senior management
 Interface with all levels of management to obtain data and information necessary to complete duties.
 Provide accurate and timely financial information and related statistics for support in the decision-making process.
 Preparation and analysis of balance sheets and cash flows
 Preparation of financial related material for internal as well as external use
 Create and maintain processes to streamline and automate wherever possible maintaining integrity of all financial information
 Frequent communication with various business segments and coporate functions to stay abreast of operational impact on financial information
 Act as backup for VP Planning to present information in various meetings including weekly forecast and monthly earnings meetings
 Support other functions in Corporate Planning as needed
 Perform special requests as needed

Position Requirements

Minimum 10 years experience in corporate accounting/financial analysis
 3-5 years supervisory experience
 Experience in energy industry preferred
 International experience preferred
 Experienced with computerized accounting systems, financial modeling, budgets, financial anaysis, and management reporting
 Advanced Excel skills
 Experience with Lawson financial systems
Proven track record of working with multiple layers of management to perform multifaceted finanacial forecasting and analysis
 Ability to work independently to understand, design and create complex models and reports is essential
 Must have the skills to effectively communicate results of any analysis in a clear and concise manner
 Excellent oral and written communication skills including one-on-one and presentation skills
 Must have the experience and expertise to anticipate and plan for unexpected issues or matters that may arise
 Must have the competencies required to respond in a timely and appropriate manner to resolve unexpected issues or matters
 Must posses the experience and skills to foresee and anticipate questions from Senior Management and have skills to address questions quickly and intelligently
 Must be skilled in prioritizing and assigning tasks and effectively delegating responsibilities
 Must have the ability to manage and execute multiple tasks simultaneously and under presssure
 Confident and approachable team leader
 Ability to assess talent and effectively plan and assign work
 Must posses outstanding problem analysis and resolution skills at both a strategic and functional level
 Must exhibit professionalism and commitment to company values
 Ability to form an opinion and make a decision through careful testing of assumptions and facts
 Must be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisors, keep required work schedules, focus attention on details and follow work rules.
