We are seeking a Disability Advocate: Follow-up Representative to work in our corporate office in The Woodlands, TX.
The Disability Advocate will assist patients in applying for Social Security disability benefits. This is a Full-time position 40 hours, 8am-5pm Monday – Friday, with some over time
Monitoring status of claimants’ Social Security Disability applications
Proactively ensuring that Social Security has all the medical, financial, and demographic information necessary to make an appropriate decision on a disability claim
Fostering positive relationships with clients by communicating empathetically and effectively
Communicating effectively with multiple parties including patients, Social Security, and Disability Determination Services
Actively pursue missing documentation
Accurately documenting all actions taken on a claim within company and client systems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to understand
others and effectively disseminate technical information is required.
Excellent customer service skills.
Required computer skills: must have experience with data entry and word processing, be
capable of operating routine office equipment, possess a working knowledge of
MS Office applications, and understand how to navigate through web-based
Must be able to type at least 50 wpm.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Commitment to exploring various methods of accomplishing tasks
Strong organizational skills
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred
