To provide world class quality, competitive value, and outstanding service through effective materials management of programs in supply logistics, inventory management, computer support, and supply channel management to clinical departments. Assist assigned departments through action and education to achieve product standardization, optimum inventory levels and reduction of operating expenses. In the absence of the Distribution Center Level III Associate, ensures completion of work schedules, orders, and all other tasks required.
Performs work assignments and other duties as directed by the Distribution Supervisor, Lead or Level III in accomplishing daily activities to include accomplishing work assignments and ensuring uninterrupted customer service as directed by the C&SCA Director and Corporate Manager.
Develops and implements work schedules ensuring task completion. Conducts associate training in all Distribution Center related activities. Acts as shift point of contact for all Distribution Center related matters.
Operates and supports PeopleSoft, ScanReq (OptiFlex), PocketPro, PYXIS, Digitech high-volume paper scanning software (Paper Flow), HBOC, @Par Warehouse Management System, and essential IT operations and improvements including downtime strategy and data entry.
Receives, stores, pulls and delivers departmental and medical records in accordance with established procedures.
Safely operates pickup, vans, and various trucks up to 24 feet in length.
Conducts daily vehicle inspections and performs minor maintenance. Safely utilizes pallet jacks, hand trucks, furniture dollies and other moving equipment.
Operates various, large materials handling vehicles including sit down forklift, reach truck, riding floor sweeper/scrubber, and order picker to support Distribution Center operations in 78,000 square feet facility.
Conducts daily equipment inspections and performs minor maintenance as required.
Develops and implements inventory control procedures for optimal accuracy.
Provides Logistic Services to all departments and distributes medical supplies or equipment to supported customer areas in a timely manner
Inventories and manages replenishment of various supply carts located throughout the Hospital.
Receives supplies and equipment using Materials Management Information Systems (MMIS) and standard operating procedures.
Associate degree from an accredited school in Business Administration or related discipline is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent (GED) education is mandatory.
Minimum of three years hospital related experience involving selection, procurement, distribution, or inventory control of medical/surgical supplies preferred.
High degree of math aptitude and communication skills (reading, writing, speaking).. - Ability to function independently within a broad scope of guidelines within established policies and goals.
Ability to read and communicate fluently in English.
Valid Florida driver's license and the ability to safely operate 24 trucks.
Ability to operate sit down forklift, reach truck, and stock picker.
