The District Sales Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining business with accounts within the assigned district as well creating and implementing strategies to develop new business. This individual will also analyze markets, competitors and sales trends, forecast product requirements, and manage customer inquiries to achieve sales and market objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Increase sales of EMC into target market segments in the assigned district.
  • Develop new accounts and maintain existing accounts.
  • Manage the sales territory and maintain relationships with distributors and end users.
  • Develop market intelligence on customers and competitors.
  • Develop market strategies, set objectives and develop a sales forecast for the assigned region.
  • Oversee accounts receivable on all sales to insure collections in a timely fashion.
  • Work with the planner to assure requirements are identified for changes in volume within the district.
  • Handles product complaints and resolves technical issues.
  • Travel within the assigned territory on a regular basis as required.


  • Required Qualifications:

  • 5 + years of sales experience in the oil & gas market, preferably in wireline industry.
  • Proven success in developing new markets and building strong relationships.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • A track record of success in a highly independent enviroment with minimal oversight; and adaptability to a high growth, changing enviroment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required. ERP experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing / Sales or Engineering reccommended.
  • Must be located in central Denver/Rockies and be willing to travel to sales region (Alberta, Colorado, Wyoming, North Dakota, Utah).
  • Candidate must possess strong competitive and entrepreneurial characteristics with the ability to think strategically.
  • Willingness to challenge status quo while proposing new ways of organizing and capturing business is key to success.
  • The candidate should have a mastery of time management with the propensity to lead a team with goal-oriented and result-based performance measures.
  • Focus on customer and competitor market analysis with experience at forecasting sales revenue a must.
