District Sales Manager
MarketSource is currently searching for a District Sales Manager for a partner operating in the Consumer Electronics industry. This is a full-time position designed to increase our client sales and brand awareness in the retail store environment by ensuring our clients products are represented appropriately for the consumer experience, efficiently managing territory as high level account manager, training (in-store formal and informal) retail sales associates, and store managers how to present to consumers the value and benefits of our clients products and services. The goal is to create well-informed advocates for our clients products driving first recommend, brand awareness and overall sales at all accounts
Must be able to engage contacts at the Director Level, Store Management Level, Dept. Management Level and floor level employees in big box retailers.
Executes business strategy for each retailer as prescribed by our client and MarketSource in particular around messaging and brand awareness.
Discover and execute on new business opportunities within accounts
Champions message consistency and alignment in the service of building our clients brand.
Is skilled in developing people; part time dedicated teams; account teams; management teams.
Motivate ,lead and manage a part time sales team
Improve sell through, brand image, account relationship, visual presence scores and market share by employing the below prescriptive activities and behaviors in accordance with our client and MarketSource direction
Works very closely with our clients Field Training Team in the service of sell through and brand building
Supports all retail accounts in assigned geographic territory driving sell through and brand health
Performs visual presence quality assurance; ensures proper placement of select POP materials; works to increase shelf share
Builds strong professional relationships with all in-store personnel that result in increased sales and brand awareness
Educate and train retail account locations on our clients products
Collect field intelligence from assigned retail accounts
Manage each account to attain sales and market share growth goals
Champion process improvements in the service of increased sell through and brand building
Maintains high level of product and brand knowledge of client competitors.
Collaborate with Regional Retail Execution Managers on performance goals
Expectations and Travel Requirements:
Expected to conduct, run and manage all major events within the district
Expected travel within market 70% of the time
Expected to complete store visits within a territory of 100 – 150 big box stores
Expected to complete QA visits with all Part Time employees on a team of 20-25
Expected to attend all important events within the district to include but not limited to, trainings, events, large scale meetings, client engagements etc…
Expected to attend all company and client events (overnight stay)
A combination of retail, sales, and operational skills
Sales and Account Management experience
Experience in working as a remote, or field based sales team
Ability to manage and motivate PT team based on performance based metrics/ measurements
Strategic planning and implementation experience
Demonstrated leadership, motivational and influencing skills
Demonstrated operational and process skills
Organizational skills set to stay on task
