The Retail Marketing District Sales Manager will oversee outlet mall kiosks within the District. Responsibilities will include maximizing sales and lead production, ensuring presentation, quality and integrity, and oversight of all recruiting/training efforts. Additionally, the District Manager will be responsible for the development and growth of all managers and reps within their given district and surrounding outlets within the region, if needed. The District Manager reports to the Regional Director.
The District Manager will work with the outlet managers within the region to maximize packages sales and lead generation through regular one-on-ones, training, report analysis along with staffing levels and hiring practices. It will be the responsibility of the District Manager to ensure and enforce standards established by the VP of Retail Marketing. These standards include the correct use of collateral, no use of unapproved collateral, dress code compliance, complete and accurate sales presentations and correct use of sales documents including Acceptance form and receipts.
Specific Duties, Activities and Responsibilities:
Review production reports weekly with each outlet manager to identify trends, weaknesses and strengths and monthly outlet visits to support the managers in these areas.
Quality and Integrity.
Recruiting, training and staffing.
The District Manager will assist and advise outlet managers within the district on matters concerning recruiting, interviewing and staffing. Assistance will include but is not limited to the interviewing process, review of recruiting efforts and results, new hire success rate, and overall staffing levels. The goal will be to maximize production while reducing turnover and efficiency ratio.
Train the trainer workshops should be regularly conducted to ensure that all managers are correctly and adequately trained in the GEARS method. All reps in their respective district outlets should be certified in GEARS in their first few weeks of employment and should be retrained on a regular basis.
Oversight, coaching and enforcement of minimum standards for all site managers within district.
Develop and maintain professional relationships with our Tanger partners.
Update and summarize all sales activity within district plan for growth.
Assume all responsibilities of the outlet managers in their absence.
Desired Skills & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) required.
Bachelors Degree is preferred.
2 years sales experience is required.
Experience with the timeshare industry is preferred.
Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is strongly preferred.
Strong written and oral communication skills required.
Proficient ability with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
Must have the ability to motivate and hold accountable a large team with specific sales goals. Qualified candidates should possess a dynamic personal presence with a strong ability to persuade, communicate and train employees within their district.
Lead by example – on the floor selling with the managers and reps when visiting the outlets within their district.
