Manage a sales district consisting of approximately six to ten representatives, with the primary objective of meeting district sales goals established for all Mylan Specialty L.P. products.

Recruit, hire and develop competent representatives on a timely basis.

Train representatives in the field and assist with home-office training.

Administer Dey policies, including annual performance appraisal and all required administrative responsibilities.

Work with all representatives on a regular basis, as described in the District Sales Manager’s Standard of Performance; provide feedback to them and the home office.

Assist in territory realignments and territory organization.

Develop district business plan.

Meet standards of performance for District Sales Managers.

Manage district sales operations to meet or exceed annual sales goals and forecasts.

Aid representatives with personal development as appropriate and necessary for their level of expertise and career goals.

Provide clear verbal and written direction to Sales Representatives.

Assure that all sales and marketing programs are implemented in the region.

Responsible for significant portion of U.S. business.

Manage expenses within region, as well as personal.

Interface with home office management, providing input as necessary.

Meet expectations of Senior Sales Management in terms of meeting the organization’s objectives and schedules.

Supervise all representatives, one designated as region trainer. Administer Dey policies/procedures, utilizing appropriate good judgment.

Make presentations to management as required

Here are the minimum qualifications for this position:

Strong planning and organizing skills.

Proven experience with independent decision making and sound judgment.

Communication skills/interpersonal effectiveness

Position functions semi-autonomously. Position directly supervises 6-10 employees. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree and 3+ years pharmaceutical sales management experience. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.

Ability to read and interpret complex business and/or technical documents. Ability to write comprehensive reports and detailed business correspondence. Ability to work with managers or directors and communicate ambiguous concepts. Ability to present to groups across the organization.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.

Ability to solve problems with a variety of concrete variables through semi-standardized solutions that require some ingenuity and analysis. Ability to draw inferences and follow prescribed and detailed procedures to solve moderately complex problems.

May be required to stand; walk; stoop; bend; kneel; and climb steps. May require use of hands and use of arms. Light lifting requirements.

Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle and travel as required.
