The Division Sales Manager’s (DSM) main priority is developing and coaching their team of Distributor Managers and developing influential relationships with General Managers and owners of Key Distributor Partners (DPs).

Key responsibilities include: communicating strategic priorities; driving and managing key RBNA initiatives; developing systems to track and measure KPI execution; monitoring sales/POS progress against business plans; and coaching DPMs to achieve their specific goals.


  • Creating Alignment with Distributor Partner network and RBNA
  • Develops communication schedule with DPs to explain and implement Red Bull business strategies and initiatives
Develops communication process to ensure proper alignment and understanding of strategies and goals

Implements systems to track and benchmark DPs against key initiatives/goals

Leads communication and education of key RBNA initiatives with DPM team

Lead training sessions on key initiatives and general job skill development

Establishes and manages clear set of KPIs for DPMs and DPs

  • Business Plan
Develops with the DPMs the annual business plans with regards to organization requirements, distribution, volume, investments, and KPIs with Key DPs

Secures agreement on necessary subjects and implements monthly scorecard to review progress

Consistently communicates with ownership and top management to guarantee alignment

Establishes POS allocation for Region

Establish equipment allocation and execution standards for Region

  • Business Intelligence
Maintains strong working knowledge of all Red Bull systems (PRISM, COGNOS, Wiiings, Answers Interactive, etc.)

Develops knowledge of key account systems and how they relate to DPs

Proactively use Business Intelligence to increase performance of DP network

Holds DPs accountable for data submission into PRISM to ensure accurate and timely information

  • Distributor Structure and Network
Develop short and long-term plans to optimize DP Network within Region

Develop best practices to share and implement within DP network

Work across other Business Units to benchmark performance and best practices

  • Coach and Develop DPM Team
Lead team based training initiatives to develop both general and specific job skills for DPMs

Provide individual coaching and development of team members

  • Lead Cross Functional Integration within RBNA
Provide a leadership role to the local Cross Functional teams within Region to insure clear communication and development of goals.

Create strong linkage between various functional plans and market impact through DPs



Travel expectations depend on Region, however overnight travel is less than 30%


Outstanding sales experience and track record in Consumer Goods industry (Bev. Preferred) , +10 years

Distributor and Supplier experience required

Ability to lead, manage and motivate a team of direct reports, 6+ years of management experience

Experience in working with or managing a DSD network

Strategic thinker with strong business acumen

Strong communicator, including presentation and training skills

Excellent negotiator and influencer

Comfortable with business analytics

Clear and proven ability to develop and implement successful sales and trade marketing strategies

Strong knowledge of consumer marketing principles

Creative mind, outgoing personality and friendly


University – Bachelor’s Degree preferred
