The Document Control / Configuration Specialist will focus on creation, changes and updates to ERP - Item Master Database while maintaining log of activities following procedures, rules and regulations. This individual will support the generation and release process for engineering documentation, and configuration management activities. They will collaborate closely with design and program teams, contributing to the delivery of major new NPI programs as well as supporting existing products.
In addition you will:
Manage document and configuration control activities with change order reviews, change request routing and change transfers.
Create a Bill of materials for new configurations and updates for changes in ERP-Item Master Database, requested through an Engineering Change Request
Manage drawing vault in PLM/PDM system to change from approved to released status
Update and maintain Drawing Revision in ERP-all databases
Maintain, update and release of Drawing PDFs
Participate in continuous improvement and assist in creating new processes
Analyze data to come up with trends for areas of improvement in the change management system.
Responsible for developing and maintaining spreadsheets, databases, reports and various electronic files
Cleanup Data from Engineering information in ERP-Item Master Database for Configuration Management according to Engineering Services Guidelines by Product Line and Work Instructions
Expediting of Immediate or High Priority Requests for creation of new part numbers or changes
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university OR High School Diploma / GED with 4 years of experience working with ERP

Computer software application knowledge: Microsoft Office Excel, Windows 7
Experience managing documentation within an ERP system, IFS experience
Ability to complete assigned tasks accurately and on schedule
Ability to manage time and workload effectively which includes planning, organizing, and prioritizing with attention to details
Work in fast pace environment
Work as a contributing member of a team
Strong communication and written comprehension
Maintain logs of activities and completed work
Conform to procedures, rules and regulation
