W R Systems, LTD has a need for a Document Preparer/Scanner at our Fairfax, VA location. Position responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following:
Inventorying – Responsible for organizing customer records, maintaining records in an orderly and logical manner, manually developing a tracking spreadsheet capturing content description, number and condition of customer records.
Document Preparation – Responsible for preparing documents for scanning including, but not limited to, examining condition of original record; removing paper clips, staples, other binding; removing sticky note papers; flattening bent corners, separately copying items that cannot feed through a high-speed scanner, creating bar coded separator pages, inserting separator pages, etc.
Scanning – Responsible for high-speed scanning of documents according to established processes and performing routine maintenance of scanners.
Indexing – Responsible for identifying key alphanumeric fields within a document or record and typing designated fields into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. Spelling and punctuation must be 100% accurate.
Quality Assurance – Responsible for performing quality control and quality assurance on all aspects of document conversion services and meeting minimum acceptable quality levels.
Post Scanning Document Handling – Responsible for reassembling and maintaining documents in a specified order after scanning.
Destruction – Responsible for preparing documents for secure destruction of hard copy records.
Qualified candidates must possess the following:
- Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and capable of performing high-quality repetitive tasks requiring attention to detail and multi-tasking;
- Ability to maintain non-disclosure of sensitive and confidential information;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook;
- Teamwork skills and effective oral and written communication;
- Typing 50wpm;
- Physical ability to sit for prolong periods of time at a computer screen and operate scanning equipment; and
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
