The selected candidate will be responsible for executing tasks associated to the McNeil Las Piedras Document Center. McNeil Document Center consist of the Validation Library, Document Center, Logbook, Specifications Control as well as the Batch Record Issuance area and Standard Operating Procedures. Main responsibilities are the coordination of all manufacturing and packaging batch records issuance, coordination the administration task of the Validation Library, Logbook Center and Document Center at McNeil I, II and other remote storage. Coordinate the company document destruction according to company policies and regulations. Responsible for document transferences to storage locations. Issued document controlled copies and support the Standard Operating Procedures, change control and customer complaints areas. All McNeil employees are required to cultivate an environment of quality and compliance in their actions. Those who manage others are required to ensure their employees are trained appropriately, create and maintain an environment that promotes employee involvement and doing things right the first time.
A minimum of a Bachelor of Science is required with a major in Business Administration, Office Administration or Natural Science is preferred. Two (2) years of experience in quality assurance working with batch record issuance and Document Control Area within the pharmaceutical industry is required. GMP's knowledge is required. Basic computer skills and the knowledge of how to use software applications such as Excel and Acess is required. Physical strength to move and carry boxes (25 pounds) of documents and logbooks is required. Knowledge in SAP, JD Edwards, Documentum, and LIMS is highly preferable. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required. Candidates must bring strong interpersonal, problem-solving and corrective action skills. Must have ability to handle multiple tasks and demonstrated communication skills. Having the flexibility to work in a 2nd and 3rd shift, long hours, holidays and weekends, if necessary is required.
