Areas of Responsibility:|
Review and approve adequate plans for the control of production, budgets, engineering effectiveness, customer service, and resource utilization.
Review performance against operation goals and provide corrective actions to ensure targets are achieved.
Present monthly reports to Sr. Leadership.
Key Performance Indicators, Cost control reports, including COGS and departmental SG&A.
Develop and recommend corporate operations policy.
Develop annual and three year plans and objectives for each area of Operations. Including operational and departmental budgets that support the financial objective of the company.
Develop specific short-term and long-term plans and projects that support the long-term objectives of the company. Support these plans with supporting budget requests and financial estimates.
Support marketing plans with new packages and products. Lead the innovation process.
Travel to brewing locations (30% travel) to ensure quality and production standards are maintained.
Work closely with all departments of the corporation (Finance, Marketing, Legal and Sales) in establishing and carrying out responsibilities.
Reviews and approves the implementation of manufacturing and organizational plans that support the Companies Master Plan.
Establish objectives and procedures governing the performance of assigned activities.
Issues specific annual objectives to immediate subordinates and reviews objectives of the Operations management.
Selects and maintains qualified personnel in all positions reporting directly and recommends compensation for them.
Directs, monitors, and appraises the performance of units immediately reporting and provides the necessary coordination between activities.
Identifies training needs, initiates development of subordinates, and recommends effective personnel action.
Maintains appropriate communications within area of responsibility.
Keeps employees informed as to company/department plans and progress.
Coordinates activities of assigned units with those of other company units. Seeks mutual agreement on problems involving coordination.
Consults with all segments of management responsible for policy or action. Ensures compliance within area of responsibility. Makes recommendations for improving effectiveness of policies and procedures.
Reviews and endorses or revises budget proposals received from direct reports. Submits budgets for assigned activities in accordance with the budget procedure. Approves budget expenses up to authorized dollar amounts.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
MBA degree a plus
Highly enlightened in the processes that drive Supply Chain
Performance/Improvements; experience/knowledge of contract negotiations with partnerships would be desirable.
Affiliation with successful manufacturing companies
A minimum of three (3) years as a Vice President of Operations or equivalent in a beverage company or manufacturing facility, with the responsibilities of producing, purchasing, inventory control, and production control, as well as shipping, receiving, and warehousing.
Sound cost control skills, analytic understanding of financials administrative skills, well-developed management skills—principles and people.
Proven ability to recruit, train, and motivate personnel in order to balance staffing strength with profitability and growth.
Strong analytical, numerical, and reasoning abilities.
Participative management type—advocates team concept.
Well-developed interpersonal skills. Ability to get along with diverse personalities. Tactful, mature.
Ability to establish credibility and be decisive—but able to recognize and support the organization’s preferences and priorities.
