We have a West Houston/Katy Area client looking for a Oil and Gas Data Implementation Specialist. This position can entail up to 50% travel.
The Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Liaise with Client to determine current and future application requirements and implement the Drilling/Production Field Data Capturing Software tool.
Develop project plan and coordinate technical implementation and rollout of applications at client sites.
Work with client to deliver specific, customized application training (including train the trainer programs) to be delivered throughout the organization.
Serve as a technical resource of escalated technical issues for clients. Be the clients Liaison to the development team if necessary.
Provide occasional weekend phone support to clients as needed.
Deliver technical excellence presentations at staff meetings / gatherings to transfer knowledge throughout the organization.
Qualifications needed:
Bachelor of Science in Production/Drilling Engineering, Accounting / Finance or Petroleum Technologist diploma
At least 3- 5 years work experience in oil and gas drilling/production operations with a focus on production accounting systems
Good understanding of network flow schematics, production allocation as well as regulatory filing requirements for production volumes
Ability to communicate effectively with client and software development team.
Ability to manage balance between client business needs and development capabilities
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong problem solving skills
Proficient in Windows, Microsoft Office and general IT / software installation processes
Understanding of database / reporting technology
Prior knowledge of drilling/production/well data applications or competitive products like Merrick Systems Procount, Schlumbergers Avocet Capture or Landmarks TOW is a strong plus
Travel will be required to client locations
