The Driver- Mobile Blood Drives/Support is expected to create the exceptional donor experience while transporting, assembling and disassembling portable equipment for the mobile collection setting - arranging the site to meet donor confidentiality requirements and a reasonable flow from station to station with proper access to electrical sources. They will also keep equipment in good working condition, clean, and neat in appearance. They will receive, process and deliver orders for blood, components and derivative products consistent with regulatory standards while meeting customer expectations. Finally they will manage available product inventories to maximize efficient shipment of blood and derivative products.
We will rely on you to drive the mobile truck to blood collection sites within the Milwaukee/Brown Deer Wisconsin area, set up and take down equipment, and provide procedural support to other members of the mobile blood collection team. You will also be assisting with the medical interviewing phase of our mobile donation process.
The ideal candidate will be a reliable and safe driver with good interpersonal skills, and a commitment to exceptional customer service. In addition, the ability to work cooperatively as well as independently and a sense of pride in a job well done are highly desirable. The ideal candidate will have a valid Wisconsin driver’s license with a clear driving record for the past year, at least one year of truck driving experience , and a high school diploma/equivalent. Current CPR certification or willingness to be CPR trained is required. Customer service experience is required; basic keyboarding and computer skills are a plus.
This is a full time position with hours on a flexible shift (1st and 2nd); Salary range starts at $13.18 per hour. This is a benefit eligible postion which include health, dental life and vision insurance, short and long term disability, 403b retirement with employerr match and a generous Paid Time Off plan.
