PRIMARY PURPOSE -
Respond to land and/or marine emergency situations as
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -
Possibility of being on-call for week-long rotating
shifts. When on-call must be able to respond to spill
site within 1 hour 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
Assist in other types of spill clean up activities as
needed or available. These duties may be land or marine
related for both planned and emergency response project
work. Potential for dirty and physically demanding work
Must be able to wear hard hat, steel-toed boots,
personal floatation device, eye protection and
respirator as necessary.
Must be able to understand and comply with company and
client safety standards.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and carrying use of
hand tools, power tools, bending, stooping, shoveling
and other physically demanding tasks on a daily basis.
DRIVER RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIRED SKILLS -
Safely drive and operate all categories of NRC
Environmental Services tractor/trailer combo units,
including nut not limited to vacuum units, flatbeds, end
dumps, dry vans, and roll offs up to 53 in length.
Proficiently drive diesel powered equipment with up to
18 speed transmissions and efficiently transport cargo
to and from specified destinations. Must maintain
related logs and records in accordance FMCS and ICC
Assure that all equipment is roadworthy by performing
thorough vehicle inspections and minor
replacement/repair functions to include brake
adjustments, light replacements, etc.
Able to produce complete, legible, job specific and
employee related paperwork including time sheets,
manifests, daily logs, tail gate safety forms, drivers
log entries, and vehicle inspection reports.
The ability to safely drive and perform safety checks on
all vehicles for which licensed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Must hold current CDL Class A with HAZMAT and tanker
Clean MVR only candidates that attach current DMV report
will be considered.
Must have a minimum of 5 years verifiable commercial
Current 40 hour HAZWOPER training certificate desired,
but will train the ideal candidate.
High School Diploma or GED.
