Position Summary:
Serves as an E-commerce web analyst for all of Timberland’s commerce websites.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide senior management with thoughtful analysis and insight into business trends and recommend improvements to help drive business results.

% of Time Involved: 25%

2. Provide daily, weekly, monthly reporting on key business metrics, including but not limited to: site sales, traffic, conversion, orders, product performance, page views, time spent on website, cart to checkout to orders performance. Continuously improve site dashboards to ensure dashboards are reporting the most relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPI) in order to react / action site performance.

3. Assist business partners by proactively sharing knowledge and learnings, advising business partners on best ways to extract and use website data; helping identify key web metrics that measure the overall performance of the website.

4. Study, understand natural search to track timberland site rankings on keywords in search engines Google, Yahoo, MSN).

5. Work with Director of E-Commerce on ways of improving site performance, finding operating expense opportunity to continue to drive improved profitability on all websites. Liaise with outside customer service center to establish and track reporting on key CS performance indicators.

6. Work with site merchandising team to define and analyze A/B testing on website.

7. Assisting with special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as required, such as free returns implementation and shipping lead-time reduction initiatives, promotions performance, etc.

Job Requirements:
  • Years of Related Professional Experience: 3 - 5 years of experience in an analytical role a must.
  • Educational/Position Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related field, MBA preferred.
  • IT Skills: Basic computer skills, Microsoft Word, Excel, Other: Other system requirements include skills with Power point and Word. Prior experience in retail, COGNOS, or Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), Omniture (or other site analytics tool) is a plus.
  • Languages: English
  • Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements
  • Must be able to multi-task in a dynamic environment. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail is required, with strong understanding of key financial metrics, such as discounted cash flows, payback, and EVA.
  • Strong understanding of key site performance indicators.
  • General financial modeling experience in Microsoft Excel is an absolute must.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
