NIB Team: E-Commerce and Distribution Programs

E-Commerce Customer Care and Website Operations. We are
a team of experts that provide direction and solutions
to our associated agencies and commercial clients. We
are a critical player in managing the sales pipeline and
with every product change and new feature we are ready
to provide information and direction.
NIB Team Member Role: E-Commerce Project Specialist
As an E-Commerce Project Specialist, you will serve as
central individual for the in-house, day-to-day
operation of the e-commerce program and works at both
the strategic and operational levels. Responsible for
the content management for the AbilityOne.com web
electronic catalog to include sub-catalogs for GSA and
other government partners; AbilityOne DVD contracts and
other BPA and programs; developing reports and providing
analysis this function will assist in providing data
used to manage the supply chain and to ensure customer
satisfaction in utilizing the AbilityOne e-commerce
channel. Also coordinates the day to day communication
and information exchanges involving the contract
requirements and actual operation of the e-commerce
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works with the e-commerce suppliers and NIB
Associated Agencies and NISH CRPs to acquire
information related to the movement of NIB products
sold through the e-commerce program.
- Responsible for extracting, analyzing and presenting
data into reports and performing initial
conclusions, observations, and recommendations to
- Develops and provides sales and other standard
reports to management on a daily, weekly, and
monthly schedule that accurately details the results
achieved against contracted requirements and
identifies trends and issues that require attention.
- Coordinates with other NIB departments, NISH CRPs
and Headquarters to obtain pricing and product data
required for the e-commerce programs.
- Works with customer service supervisor to address
issues such as special pricing requests, complaints,
and delivery inquires, allocation and inventory
- Assists in developing and maintaining inventory
requirements with the contractor(s) and Associated
Agencies to ensure delivery performance requirements
- Responsible for e-commerce catalog maintenance and
correcting issues related to product delivery
shortages, product quality issues, and price
discrepancies. Including NPA, VA, Abilityone.com,
and other websites as requested.
- Coordinates with the marketing team on issues
related to the performance of the site and customer
- Responsible for data accuracy of e-commerce portion
of data warehouse coordinates with New Business
Development and Pricing team on
additions/deletions/updates of products to ensure
accuracy of pricing, packaging and shipping data.
- Responsible for developing and distributing
quarterly price lists to government partners
including GSA, DLA, VA, Army and BSCs.
- Works with the E-commerce Order Administrator and
monitors open orders within the E-Commerce Program
from the government contract partner organizations:
GSA Advantage, GSA Regions, TSA, Army BPA, VA BPA;
determining which are delinquent versus their
contract fulfillment and closure requirements.
- Assist in making changes to the NYSPSP websites’
such as descriptions, prices, etc.
- Update and maintain Oracle database in support of
the NYSPSP program.
- Provide daily, weekly, and other periodic
files/lists of orders sent to the fulfillment
partners to confirm receipt and timely processing of
those orders to proactively reduce orders that reach
- Maintain cooperative, positive relationships with
Government contract providers, all fulfillment
partners, and all internal NIB departments and teams
to maximize results in working with all in
fulfillment of the position objectives.
- Review questionable invoices from associated
agencies provided by NIB Accounting and determine
answers so NIB Accounting can pay the invoices and
then close the orders in FEDPAY, removing them from
- Advise Government contract partner organizations of
delinquent orders that have been closed as soon as
possible to minimize the negative effect of
delinquencies to these organizations.
- Research any orders that should be cancelled,
determining the reasons to be reported back to the
Government contract partners. Include research to
obtain Committee notices that affect the order
- Maintain and update GSA Regions 2 and 7 Sale Order
- Monitor GSA High Priority, Routine Priority and 1611
- A bachelor’s degree required from an accredited
university or college; preference for business
administration, information technology, or
- 1-3 years of experience in e-commerce related
projects and initiatives.
- A background in electronic commerce and related
- Exceptional experiences with BI software with the
ability to create scripts as required and modify
existing scripts to obtain needed reports.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and Access and the
ability to develop databases and create macro
- Exceptional analytic skills, project management
skills, and communication skills (oral and written)
- Experience with Oracle 12i software a plus.
