(RBSSI) seeks an
E-Trading Development Lead
Lead the development of proprietary, global fixed income pricing and e-trading applications composing the Centralized Pricing (CP) platform to assist U.S. Rates business in pricing, assessing risk, and executing electronic trades across all product types including Treasuries, TIPS, Strips, Bills, and U.S. Agencies. Support and enhance the complex CP platform that allows price publication to and execution of inquiry from third-party electronic communication networks (ECNs) including Bloomberg, Tradeweb, and Market Axess. Work with ECNs to stay abreast of proposed changes to fixed income protocols, work with e-commerce to understand impact on trading desk and the banks customers. Oversee all software development in the e-trading team, addressing issues such as performance, low-latency, and accuracy of trade details, high availability, throughput, and market conditions. Manage all aspects of the application development life cycle including applications that use the Bloomberg MPF pricing publication protocol, the Bloomberg AEP execution protocol that includes request for quote logic. Use ECN tools such as Bloomberg fixed income screens to manage customer inquiry flow (FIT, BLOT, YA), and use Tradewebs price contribution API, Tradeweb execution DLRDPL APIs including full inquiry/order logic, and Tradeweb Dealer DPL software configuration to develop applications. Coordinate with trading desk and e-commerce team to ensure specifications are accurate and meet user needs, while maintaining the underlying design and models built into the existing codebase. Ensure the team produces high performance, low-latency, Java server-side systems according to industry-accepted design patterns. Work with global teams to drive collaborations on cross cutting concerns including: unified cross desk functionality; post trade data warehousing; and quality assurance.
Masters Degree in Computer Science or related and 2 years of experience in the position offered or as a Software Developer or related within the financial services industry. Full term of required experience must involve development of proprietary, global U.S. fixed income pricing and e-trading applications across all product types including Treasuries, TIPS, Strips, Bills, and U.S. Agencies, and involve all aspects of the application development life cycle utilizing Bloomberg MPF pricing publication protocol, Bloomberg AEP execution protocol and request for quote logic; use of Bloomberg fixed income screens to manage customer inquiry flow (FIT, BLOT, YA); use of Tradewebs price contribution API, Tradeweb execution DLRDPL APIs including full inquiry/order logic and Tradeweb Dealer DPL software configuration to develop applications. 40 hours/week.
