Job Summary : The ECT (Electroconvulsive Therapy) Coordinates direct patient care, facilitates communication and collaboration between staff and other departments or units regarding patient care issues. The ECT Nurse maintains a high standard of nursing care and contributes to the provision of high quality ECT services by organizing, coordinating and facilitating the delivery of care for patients receiving inpatient and outpatient ECT, as well as by collaborating on ECT processes with Medical and Nursing leadership.

Education/Experience : Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing current Alabama RN License required . Two years experience required in Behavioral Health specific to ECT services. Graduation from a school for practical nursing and Completion of unit specific certification course work within three months required. BCLS certification is required within three months. ACLS certification is required within twelve months.

Special Skills or Knowledge/Certifications or Licenses : Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and current Alabama License required as a registered nurse. BSN preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification required.
