EDI Specialist/Applications Support Analyst
We are currently seeking an individual that can work in multiple areas within the Applications Development Group. The selected individual will have 2-5 years of work experience, and must have EDI related experience. EDI support will only be a portion of the individualâ€ s job duties. We are looking for an individual that is also interested in working on and developing skills in other applications related functions including, SQL, SharePoint, VBA Macro development and Microsoft BI. Depending on the candidate, this position will be either a Full time contract-to-hire or direct hire position. The selected candidate will under general direction, be responsible for activities relating to enterprise systems.
Position Responsibilities Include:
. Provide EDI application support, including the setup and testing of new customers as well as implementation of new document types
. Successfully implement technical solutions by working with project managers, business liaisons and other developers to build and support applications.
. Configure and administer current and new systems.
. Develop related system documentation.
Technical Skills Desired:
. 2+ years of experience in EDI development or support (Experience with Gentran Server for Windows NT Translator would be a plus)
. Experience implementing the following EDI document types:
o 850 Purchase Order
o 810 Invoice
o 820 Remittance Advice
o 823 Lockbox
o 855 PO Acknowledgement
o 852 Product Activity Data
. Experience with the full EDI life cycle â€ Mapping, Testing, Implementation and Support
The ideal candidate for this position would have experience with:
. Microsoft Excel/Macros & VBA
. MS Access.
. SharePoint 2007 +
. Microsoft BI tools, including SSIS, SSRS, SSAS
. VMI knowledge
. ASP 3.0 & ASP.NET
Education and Experience:
. Bachelor's degree in information technology or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
. Ability to communicate at multiple levels, including: programmers, managers, and customers
. Ability to work independently with minimal direction when required
. Team player attitude
. Must display flexibility and initiative
. Strong problem solving & analytical skills
