Job Description:
Responsible to the Director of Study Abroad Services. Develops and recommends policies regarding student advising, application process, certification process, registration process and transcript processing. Coordinates the development and implementation of all operating procedures within SAS . Responsible for development of faculty training program, pre-departure orientation, re-entry programming and peer advisor training program. Advises students on curriculum, credit transfer, costs, financial aid and benefits of study abroad programs in selected world areas. Works closely with faculty members and serves as a liaison between the International Center and other overseas institutions. Responsible for liaison activities with the registrar, financial services, residential living and office managers in various departments; Creates innovative approaches to recruiting students for participation in study abroad with the goal to increase participation in the next 5-10 years consistent with the implementation of the QEP on internationalization; Assists in the development of new ways of delivering study abroad, such as service learning, internships, career development oriented programs and IA programs; develops and launches in cooperation with other units a high quality evaluation and learning outcomes assessment protocol for study abroad; Coordinates the preparation of the certification report. Supervises program assistants and senior clerk.

Coordinates the development and implementation of all operating procedures within SAS ; Coordinates the preparation of the certification and insurance report.

Responsible for development of faculty training program, pre-departure orientation, re-entry programming.

Advises students on curriculum, credit transfer, costs, financial aid and benefits of study abroad programs in selected world areas both on an individual basis and in group formats. Administers UF approved study abroad programs as assigned including application data review and transcript processing.

Works closely with faculty members and serves as a liaison between the International Center and other overseas institutions. Responsible for liaison activities with the registrar, financial services, residential living and office managers in various departments (program registration).

Creates innovative approaches to recruiting students for participation in study abroad with the goal to increase participation in the next 5-10 years consistent with the implementation of the QEP on internationalization.

Assists in the development of new ways of delivering study abroad, such as service learning, internships, career development oriented programs and Innovation Academy programs.

Develops and launches in cooperation with other units a high quality evaluation and learning outcomes assessment protocol for study abroad.

Represents SAS on committees and conferences if needed. Serves as back up for the director.

Minimum Requirements:
Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience studying and/or living abroad.

Good computer skills.

Good marketing skills.
