The Requirement Analyst is responsible for defining the NextGen Ambulatory EHR content requirements which includes identifying functionality, developing use cases, identifying content, analyzing work flow, identifying business & regulatory needs, and defining system output. Defining the functional requirements entails collaborating with clients and performing clinical and business analysis in order to determine the optimal clinical content and work flow. The Requirements Analyst is responsible for validating the defined solutions with clients. The Requirements Analyst creates specification documents that content developers use to implement the software.

Identify all the users and their needs for the NextGen Ambulatory EHR content
Write functional requirements (use cases, work flow, data/content input, document output, etc.)
Analyze and independently identify complex problems within the content-based software and/or a customer’s data to create requirements
Manage relationship with key customers; providing feedback to the requirements
Facilitate customer validations (prototype evaluations, beta tests, limited releases) of the products
Support developers in implementing requirements by interpreting, prioritizing, and refining, requirements
Exercise independent judgment to determine the appropriate course of action to be taken based on the analysis performed and all possible solutions in order to determine the most appropriate way to define requirements
Use complex tools such as NextGen Ambulatory EHR run time and NextGen ® Template Editor to identify efficient methods (work flows) to meet the requirements

Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Applications: Word, Power Point, Excel
Proven excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong analytical skills
Demonstrated attention to detail
Medical background
Technology oriented – technical aptitude
Excellent organizational skills
Work within a matrix organization
