Required Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or Equivalent. Six (6) years as an electrician with a State of Texas Journeyman’s License. Reading and application of MEP blueprints and drawings. Knowledge of voltage meters and testers. Transfer switch operation and emergency generators. Maintenance of main switchgear and infra-red scans. Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Ability to perform all tasks and job responsibilities safely without injury to self and others in compliance with A&M System and HSC guidelines.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Trade school degree. Master’s Electrical License. Relocation of Full Service Panels.
Job Detail:
Interpret MEP blueprints. Maintain main switchgear. Install and move electrical circuits. Maintain emergency generator and related circuits. Oversee infra-red scan of all electrical panels and gear. Work with Facilities Director to order electrical supplies and provide job cost estimates. Assist other construction trades on various projects. Ensure compliance with current codes and regulations. Other duties as assigned.
Work Hours:
8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday
