The Parsons Brinckerhoff Denver office is seeking a Civil Engineer with a minimum of three years of experience in the design of roadway and highway projects. This position will function as a part of a Denver-based project team to deliver important and exciting transportation projects.

The successful candidate will work as a part of project teams on design build and / or small to large size transportation projects for DOT and local agency clients including the CDOT, the City and County of Denver, and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). The successful candidate will be responsible for performing the following tasks:

Assignments involve problem solving requiring job knowledge and abilities beyond entry level

Performs tasks of moderate complexity using professional judgment

Performs engineering design calculations for roadway projects

Compute quantities and tabulate items for creating summaries and construction cost estimates

Generates roadway design, survey and construction drawings, etc.

Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Experience Required:
Under close supervision, performs various engineering assignments of limited scope which require the application of standard techniques and procedures. At least two years of proven experience with Microstation and InRoads is required and experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Geopak is desirable. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite is required with the specific ability to work with complex Excel spreadsheets. Licensing as a professional civil engineer is desirable.

Education Required:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering-related field and at least 3 years of experience with roadway and highway projects (or equivalent working knowledge/experience).
