SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Director of Strategic Reporting, the EPM Lead is responsible for the maintenance, analysis, design and development of the Hyperion System 11 suite. The Lead works closely with the business community to deliver, maintain, troubleshoot and enhance system functionality. The candidate should add value to the financial software applications and business through their knowledge of Hyperion Planning\Essbase, Financial Management, Smart view and Reporting products with their constructive teamwork, managing the business and building relationships with other departments at T2. The Lead will align reporting with the business needs in accordance with best practices and known reporting standards. Detailed Description

DETAILED JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT:
Develops, implements and maintains new cubes, rules and process flows;
Provide assistance to the business for annual budget and forecast processes;
Assist with Hyperion reporting solutions;
Evaluate logical views, data hierarchies and reporting structures;
Provides alternatives and recommendations based on best practices and application functionality;
Ensure Production environment stability and provide continued support;
Gains necessary input/approval of requirements and design and participates in code reviews and performs code review for others;
Ensures applications meet requirements and SLA’s;
Assists in requirements gathering, creates system and user documentation;
Understands the business processes, how the application supports the business processes and applies this knowledge to best solve problems;
Develops functional\technical specifications and works with team to complete object development and testing;
Employ knowledge of Essbase and Financial Management to facilitate better deployment of application, application security and other interface tools.

PRODUCT SUPPORT:
Supports the operations of existing applications;
Properly utilizes Hyperion Support developer resources;
Provides timely response and resolution of emergency production questions,issues and defects;
Adheres to a production support and implementation processes;
As Hyperion Analyst, reviews all month-end/year-end close processes needed in the system to report timely and accurate financial statements, forecasts and budgets;

APPLICATION MAINTENANCE:
Works on periodic maintenance releases of applications, including enhancements, redesign and defects;
Identify design improvements;
Perform upgrade and migration tasks;
Support daily processing and data validation

BUSINESS ALIGNMENT:
Involves users in the development/maintenance of applications (e.g.,requirements, testing);
Seeks prioritization for work efforts and ensures requirements are gathered from the appropriate groups;
Understands how the business utilizes their respective applications;
Proven ability to effectively communicate verbally and written to all levels of management and functional employees.

MANAGING WORK:
Understands scope, priority and timelines for assigned work;
Manages workload to deliver quality deliverables that meet requirement;
Communicates status of assignments to supervisor;
Notifies supervisor of issues that impact productivity or ability to meet expectations;
Adheres to SOX related processes in completing assignments;
Follows standards/uses standard toolsets;
Assists Director in tracking progress, prioritizing work, developing time estimates and work plans and assisting less experienced team members;
Resolves issues or escalates to Director, if necessary;
Identifies opportunities to improve existing conditions and processes &implements solutions;
Creative in problem solving;
Attention to detail;
Independently works with little assistance on all anticipated tasks;
Documents scripts and process flow in central repositories, knowledge sharing and cross training as needed. Job Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:
5-10 years’ experience in HFM, FDM and Hyperion Planning administration
5 or more years in business\accounting related department
Consulting experience preferred;
Strong oral and written communication skills are essential for this role
The ability to work independently, be proactive
Knowledge of integration between external systems;
Project management experience a plus;
Demonstrate work planning and prioritization skills;
Analytical and assessment skills essential;
Proven experience in providing system support and direct contact with users to solve issues with business applications

SPECIAL SKILLS:
Extensive financial process and functional knowledge required;
Understands dependencies and interrelationships between functional components of Hyperion Essbase and Financial Management among forms, business rules,calculation scripts, variables and databases;
Essbase BSO and ASO cubes – Outlines, dimensions, measures, members, metadata administration with ability to design databases and complex calculations;
Design, build and troubleshoot cubes and related objects;
Essbase and Financial management application configuration;
Strong knowledge of FDM and ODI;
Automation, Batch scripting, Esscmd and MaxL;
Data Loads, batch jobs, automation and scripting MaxL;
Provide alternatives based on best practices and application functionality;
