EBI Consulting is looking
for a Senior Biosafety Consultant to work out of our Burlington, MA
headquarters. The Senior Biosafety Consultant
will have at least 10 years of experience. The Senior Biosafety Consultant will be responsible
for developing and managing EHS
Biosafety work from new and existing clients, with an emphasis on the MA and New England markets, sales, proposals, project management, and mentoring junior staff.

Senior Biosafety Consultant will focus on establishing and managing EHS
services with EBI’s Life Sciences, Healthcare and Educational clients across
New England. The Senior Biosafety
Consultant will deliver environmental, health and safety services to clients
with emphasis on clinical, laboratory and research & development facilities
common to these clients. In this role,
the candidate should have strong expertise as relates to chemical and biohazard
lab safety programs, facility waste and wastewater management, industrial
hygiene in laboratory, clinical &
R&D settings, bloodborne pathogens, health & safety training, EHS
compliance management, and multimedia compliance auditing, The Senior
Biosafety Consultant should have a strong educational background, with an Masters
degree in industrial hygiene or related scientific discipline and appropriate
certifications, including CSP, CHMM, and/or CIH (preferred),

Senior Biosafety Consultant will be responsible to developing and managing
relationships with clients from the biopharma, biotech and university clients. EBI would expect the Senior Biosafety
Consultant to expand existing client relationships and build new client
relationships to expand our existing practice.

Primary Responsibilities of the Position:
Provide full array of EHS services to Life Sciences, Health Care and University clients
Develop health and safety training programs for lab settings, clinical areas and R&D facilities
Perform biohazard assessments and risk reduction strategies tailored to regulatory and client requirements
Conduct detailed audits with emphasis on achieving compliance to meet State and Federal permit, OSHA, and USEPA requirements
Develop waste management strategies that will address the myriad chemical and biological wastes
Provide consultation on wastewater permitting and compliance
Develop industrial hygiene programs to address indoor air quality in high biohazard settings and implement appropriate mitigation programs
Develop lab safety protocols and implement appropriate safety training
Assess existing H&S programs in client settings and work to reduce incidents and potential worker exposures
Assist clients in developing building blocks for environmental management system, and consult on EMIS and other data management systems
Work with clients to establish metrics
and programs for ISO 14001, ROHS, ISO 9001, RGI and other quality and regulatory initiatives

Professional Experience and Capabilities:
EBI looks to consider applicants with a diversified

sets include, but are not limited to:
At least ten (10) years experience in EHS field with at least four (4) years working in or consulting to the pharmaceutical or biotech industry
Knowledge in the

following areas:
Principles of Safety, workers compensation and related principles and
Pertinent federal, state and local laws, codes, licensing and regulations
related to EHS
Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) requirements and guidelines
Storm water Pollution Prevention plans, Sampling & Reporting procedures
Wastewater Permitting, Sampling, & Reporting procedures
Air permitting, data collection, and compliance with permit conditions
Training and presentation skills, techniques, applications and practices
Clear, concise and effective communication, both orally and in writing with all
levels of employees
Leadership and teamwork skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Development and Management of lab safety programs and training* Completion of
post-graduate EHS training/certifications
Proficient Knowledge in MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
Proven capability to focus on delivering excellent results and improving
performance of oneself and of Cubist by taking initiative, driving projects and
continually look for ways to improve process/bottom-line efficiencies
Ability to work in a fast paced environment and adjust to changing priorities
Resourceful and inventive with a strong results orientation
Sets standards and hold others accountable for program performance
Ability to multitask with limited resources
Ability to influence without direct authority

Registration Requirements:
Certified Indoor Environmental Consultant (CIEC)
Certified Indoor Air Quality Manager (CIAQM)
Environmental Protection Agency/Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (EPA/AHERA)
RRP Certified Renovator
Current RCRA and DOT training

Educational Requirements :
Bachelor's degree or higher in Science, Environmental Engineering, Occupational
Safety, or other related field.
