ESOL INSTRUCTOR POSITION
12 hours per week
ESOL Instructor : The ESOL Instructor must be able to: provide group instruction to adult ESOL learners, select and develop appropriate materials for class use, align curriculum with the ABE frameworks, maintain student records, meet with students about progress and goals throughout the year, administer formal and informal student assessments, identify problems, issues, and concerns related to students, communicate regularly with students, staff, and director, participate in program meetings and professional development.
Bachelor’s Degree and Teaching Certificate or demonstrated, relevant experience.
Experience working with the adult learner ESOL population preferred.
Ability to adapt teaching styles and materials to meet individual needs of students.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
