Export Compliance Coordinator
Revise export/import procedures and work instructions as required. Prepare export license applications for all International business activities. Train Westwood employees on export compliance. Disseminate export license conditions and provisions to appropriate Westwood staff. Involvement in Westwood marketing plan to ensure export licenses are in place. Interface with ILG on all export activities and approvals. Provide support to the Empowered Official on an “as required” basis. Interfaces with internal company personnel on import/export matters and requirements pertaining to compliance and execution. Acts as a point of contact within the company to external export organizations and individuals. Initiates internal and external correspondence. Responsible for ensuring proper document control is maintained. Performs such other assignments as may be required from time to time by management. Prepares shipping documents for international shipments. Create company tailored export training sessions and videos to educate company employees on basic export laws and regulations. Give approvals/denials of export of technical data. Perform yearly audits of export/import activities. Point of contact and administrate all export record keeping requirements. Also coordinates activities related to export compliance. Create procedure for export control, complete applications for export licenses, maintain export files and databases, train company personnel in export/import matters, perform internal auditing, perform tasks relating to CAR from audits and complete reports to ILG as necessary. All other duties as assigned by management.
Traffic Compliance Coordinator: Implement the L-3 Westwood Customs/Traffic Compliance Program with supporting procedures and work instructions in conjunction with the overarching policy and procedures implemented by the EO distinct to L-3 Westwood. Each procedure should be supported with the necessary checks and balances to ensure that all support departments (i.e., Accounting, Purchasing, Operations, etc.) actively contribute towards the implementation and effectiveness of relevant procedures. Each procedure shall be consistent with U.S. Export/Import Law and Regulation. Ensure that all customs/traffic recordkeeping is organized and complete in accordance with U.S. Export/Import Law and Regulations. Recordkeeping system shall survive all internal/external inquiries, review and audits. With EO oversight, provide ILG with a current copy of the L-3 Westwood specific Customs/Traffic procedures and/or work instructions, and any changes thereto. Support timely submittal of all requested information to the EO/ECC in support of Export/Import authorization requests to the ILG for review. Immediately notify L-3 Westwood’s EO and the Vice President, International Licensing of any domestic or foreign detention, seizure, and/or disciplinary action that is, or has the potential to be, imposed upon the Corporation by the U.S. or foreign government for noncompliance with applicable Export/Import laws and regulations.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, or related field is required with one to two years experience in military/commercial contracts administration. Additional experience may substitute for educational requirements. Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, ability to write routine reports and correspondence and ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Must have general basic knowledge of contract law and the Federal Acquisition Regulations. Must have excellent writing skills and be computer literate in Word and Excel. Two to three years of experience in export/import compliance with yearly training for new requirements.
