SDCOE is recruiting to fill a vacancy for an Early Intervention Assistant for the HOPE Infant Family Support Program at the South County Regional Education Center in National City, CA. Under general direction, the Assistant performs as a member of a trans-disciplinary team by providing services for infants and toddlers with special needs and their families, implements developmental activities with children, and works with families in home visits and group settings. |
This position requires general knowledge of a variety of disabilities and the educational activities appropriate for special needs infants/toddlers; instructional activities for developmentally delayed infants/toddlers; and community resources available to special needs infants/toddlers. Qualifying experience or education must include coursework in child development, nursing, social work; or experience (paid or volunteer) working in an instructional, community, clinic or home setting with infants and toddlers. Experience working with special needs infants/ toddlers highly desirable.
There will be two eligibility lists generated by this recruitment, one open and one promotional. The candidates on the promotional list will be exhausted before considering the candidates on the open list.
