The Echocardiographer II is responsible for performing echocardiogram and exercise echocardiogram examinations, including color flow mapping, cardiac doppler imaging and 2-D m-mode, without the assistance of a cardiologist, on assigned patients. EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED :
Certification/registry as an Echocardiographer by ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI (RCS) in Adult or Pediatric Echo AND a second certification/registry in sonography from the following: ARDMS Certification= RDCS (Adult, Pediatric), RDMS (fetal); CCI certification= RVS, RVT.
Certification/registry as an Echocardiographer by ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI (RCS) in Adult or Pediatric Echo AND Bachelor's degree (with major in health field preferred).
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :
At least 3 year's full time clinical experience performing Echocardiography and demonstrated competency in performing Echo examination in the designated area.
Applies comprehensive technical knowledge to carry out more complex assignments.
