Under the direct supervision of the Cardiopulmonary
Supervisor, the Cardiopulmonary
Technologist V is responsible for the provision of two of the three disciplines of
echocardiography; to include adult, pediatric, neonatal and transesophageal echo;
noninvasive vascular studies; to include carotid duplex, arterial and venous duplex, and
plethysmography studies; also EKG, and holter monitoring on patients according to
physicians' orders, and established Department and Hospital standards of care. The
position will be responsible for the care of patient’s ages:
Birth to 1 year
Age 1 to 3
Age 3 to Age 5
Age 5 to Age 12
Age 12 to Age 18
Age 18 to Age 44
Age 45 to Age 65
Age 65 and Over
Abides by all rules, directives, policies, and procedures, and performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
R.D.M.S.(Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer), or R.V.T.(Registered
Vascular Technologist) eligible for registration in echocardiology and/or peripheral vascular
Previous experience in hospital environment preferred.
Minimum of 1 year
experience in cardiovascular lab.
