These positions require teaching courses in applied economics, with a teaching load of nine credit hours per semester. Publication in refereed journals is required for tenure and promotion. Service to the Department, College, University, community, and/or profession is also required for tenure and promotion.

Required Qualifications and Education
Candidates must have a Doctorate in Economics, or provide strong evidence that a Doctorate in Economics will be completed by August 2013. All candidates must provide evidence of effective teaching and published research (or research potential).
The Economics Department is a unit of the AACSB-accredited Seidman College of Business, which has 3,250 majors and 93 full-time faculty (85% Ph.D.). Preferred Qualifications and Education
For position one, preference will be given to applied economists with a field in Industrial Organization or Public Economics, and those with experience teaching or conducting research in environmental economics or health economics. For the second position, preference will be given to applied economists with a field in Econometrics, Macroeconomics, Industrial Organization, or Public Economics.
