Part-time faculty position for the Spring 2013 semester providing curriculum and research assistance to students and faculty in the Levin Library’s Education Resource Center. Job duties include: assisting patrons with research; instructing students in information literacy skills and use of ERC materials; communicating with Education faculty regarding assignments and instruction needs; maintaining and reporting statistics; conducting in-service workshops on new technologies and instructional resources.
We seek a candidate with outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to mentor and train work-study students, and who has strong technology web 2.0 skills. Masters in Library and Information Science from an ALA accredited institution preferred or a Library Media Specialist certification, with Bachelor’s in Elementary Education or Special Needs. Minimum three years of professional library experience (academic or school library experience).
