Summary of Duties
Assists in developing and providing orientation and
ongoing education for clinical staff of Tuality
Healthcare based on assessed needs, regulatory
requirement, evaluation data, and learning outcomes.

a. Education: BSN required with additional course work
or training in education required. Masters strongly
b. License: Current licensure as a registered nurse by
the Oregon State Board of Nursing required
c. Certification: Current BLS or BLS within 6 months of
d. Minimum 5 years clinical experience in Acute Care
e. Experience in teaching adults and applying principles
of teaching-learning theories.
f. Experience in program development, implementation,
g. Demonstrates excellent written and verbal
h. Experience in applying principles of adult learning.
i. Presents a professional appearance that makes a good
j. Uses computer skills to produce educational materials
and to communicate via email.

2. Physically Demanding Tasks:
Standing a minimum of 8-10 hours/month when teaching
classes. Transporting equipment from area to area for
classes. Lifting manikins (approx. 60 lbs. each)
