Electrical Discharge Machine (EDM) Operator- 2nd Shift
Responsible for setting up, operating and programming a Wire EDM machine.
Must be proficient at all types of machining center processing.
Must be able to complete set-up and machining operations from blueprints, drawings and/or verbal instructions.
Must have experience with complex, tight tolerance parts and various materials.
At least 5 years of experience in set up and operation of Sodick and Mitsubishi machines.
High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Machine Operation Experience, including Turning, Milling, Drilling, Grinding, etc.
Programming experience relative to understanding program coding and interpreting programs.
Proven capabilities to provide continuous improvement suggestions.
Experience in shop math, tooling technology, blueprint reading and measurement of parts.
Experience using precision measuring devices in a shop floor environment. (e.g., micrometers, calipers)
Repetitive movement, bending or twisting, using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls, exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting.
Ability to work 2nd shift hours (3:30pm-2am), weekends and overtime as needed.
