This Electrical Engineer position will focus efforts on designing controls and data acquisition systems for actuation test standards.

Responsibilities:
Understand the requirements for measurement accuracy and choose electrical components and design circuits that provide a high-level of accuracy and ease of duplication.
Document designs using standard design tools, such a Altium.
Review customer documents and requirements, and translate them into electrical designs
Build prototypes, test and evaluate subunits, change out components as required
Analyze design for manufacturability, life cycle of parts, cost/benefit analysis
Request cost quotations and availability from vendors
Product testing and release of electrical designs into the engineering system, update design as changes are made and communicate change to customer.
Write specifications and design criteria based on customer needs
Constantly review current and new technology to be able to apply the best solutions to customer requirements
Communicate performance and timing requirements to vendors and enforce standards and delivery requirements
Utilize technical personnel efficiently in support roles, outline tasks and monitor performance of personnel.
Manage multiple projects
Use tracking software to identify and monitor key milestones
Select and recommend subsystems, components and material. Document selections and reasons behind the selection
Use computer assisted software to design product and systems

Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, or related field of study, such as controls engineering
Prior experience in the aerospace industry
2+ years electrical engineering work experience, or related field such as controls engineering
Working knowledge of PLC's, NI Labview, or LabWindows
Proven analog circuit design experience
Instrumentation knowledge (DMM, DAQ, Scope)
Shown ability to be a creative problem-solver with a strong aptitude to troubleshoot both independently and as a member of a team
Work style is results-oriented excelling with clear, measurable goals
Actively seeks answers to questions and uncovers critical information without prompting
Superior communication skills both written and oral

Preferred:
Experience using Altium and NI Labview
Soldering experience
Ballscrew, actuator, and/or gearbox experience
