Responsible for providing engineering and technical support to operations. Determines and specifies electrical specifications for equipment and power distribution. Provides guidance, training, and technical information to maintenance colleagues. Troubleshoots chronic electrical problems. Initiates, coordinates and executes technical projects. Develops and maintains electrical maintenance programs.
Evaluates electrical systems, components, and applications for use within operations.
Confirms system and component capabilities by designing testing methods.
Develops electrical specifications and designs by studying operational requirements; researching and testing prototype equipment.
Prepares equipment performance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Provides engineering information by answering questions and requests.
Ensures compliance to federal and state regulations with EHS.
Keeps equipment operational by following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting repair service.
Coordinates and executes projects using internal and contract resources.
Actively participates in improving equipment uptime.
Maintains electrical maintenance data through the use of the CMMS and other control systems.
Participates in projects by developing specifications, reviewing designs, developing spare parts lists and maintenance procedures, and training technicians.
Perform cost estimates, write capital requests, receive quotes, and managing dept funds
Supports electrical troubleshooting during critical problems by telephone or on-site after hours support.
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program
- 2+ years Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with industrial electronics and power distribution
- Experience with servo drives
- Experience with Siemens PLC programming
