Electrical Engineers - Entry and Mid-Level Egg Harbor Township, NJ - 13000570 ASRC Research and Technology Solutions (ARTS), a Subsidiary of ASRC Federal Holding Company, is an engineering, research and technology services company with contracts supporting multiple federal agencies. The FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) has selected ARTS to provide engineering, maintenance, and related support services for the FAA’s National Air Space System at the William J. Hughes Technical Center in Egg Harbor, NJ. The Technical Center is the world’s premier aviation research and development, and test and evaluation facility. ARTS is proud to provide second level maintenance and engineering for data management, as well as systems for technical operations, terminal services and surveillance programs.

ARTS is currently seeking Junior to Mid-level Electrical Engineers with experience in circuit board and FPGA design. (Junior level candidates may present coursework, internships and class projects in reference to the circuit board design.)

Responsibilities :
  • Provide engineering modifications and second level field support for the FAA Mode S secondary radar beacon system
  • Assist in assessing complex problems and investigate, develop, appraise, select and present solutions
  • Use interdisciplinary approaches using engineering principles
  • Assist in specifications development, implementation, testing and documenting engineering systems and equipment
  • Initiate concept development and trade-off studies
  • Devise appropriate tests to use in evaluating, debugging and checking of equipment and systems for accurate and dependable conformance specifications
  • Design, develop and test hardware modifications for commissioned Mode S systems
  • Provide technical assistance in the solution of site unique problems (telephone help desk as well as onsite services)
Requirements

Educations, Skills and Abilities
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required
  • Zero (0) up to seven (7) years of experience as this position could be entry level up to mid-level
  • Experience with oscilloscopes, logic/network analyzers and other tests tools is emphasized for supporting current radar systems
  • Experience in circuit board and FPGA design
  • Experience with design and layout applications
  • Any knowledge or experience with radar and radar equipment is a plus
