Ke'aki Technologies has an exciting opportunity for an Electronic Technician D (CAT 3)/On Call (SPECTRE). The position is located at the Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF), Barking Sands on Kauai. This position requires U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance .
With minimum supervision, this bargaining unit position Electronic Technician D (CAT 3)/On Call (SPECTRE) will operate and maintain all aspects of Surveillance Precision Eclectic Tracking Range Environment (SPECTRE) Systems, AN/SPS-67 radar, Remote Control and Monitoring System (RCMS), Large Area Tracking Range (LATR) System. Troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate all systems and associated equipment and performs other related task on a wide range of electronic systems and equipment directed.
Performs periodic inspections and maintenance tasks in accordance with published procedures and/or OEM guidelines. Documents results of all maintenance actions in systems and equipment records.
Troubleshoots and repairs systems/equipment by reading and interpreting electronic/mechanical schematics and using simple anc complex test equipment.
Installs, checks, calibrates and performance acceptance tests on new and relocated systems and equipment as directed.
Prepares and submits periodic reports when directed.
Maintains configuration control on assigned systems.
Support PMRF operations involving SPECTRE, AN/SPS-67, AN/SPS-134 and LATR systems.
Set-up, checks-out, operates and monitors systems and equipment in support of Range Operations. Responds to changing operational requirements when directed.
Performs other duties as directed by Supervisor.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Require periodic travel via helicopter and commercial aircraft and overnight encampment at remote sites.
PHYSICAL ELEMENTS: Lifting with a limit of 25-50lbs, POSITIONS: Walking or standing; crawling, kneeing or cramped; work requiring repeated slooping; work requiring occasional or frequent stair climbing, pushing/puling 25-50lbs; ENVIRONMENTAL: Customer contact, extended work day and confined work area.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Two (2) year technical electronic school or equivalent, such as electronic Military "A" school in electronics or equivalent.
Fundamental knowledge of basic electronics both RF and Digital, computers, computer networking, and LANs troubleshooting and repair.
Knowledge of surveillance radar and IFF systems fundamentals.
Possess working knowledge of electronics theory and be proficient in reading and interpreting complicated schematic diagrams for troubleshooting and repair to the component level.
Must be able to use, apply and understand complex test and measuring equipment.
Must have a soldering certificate from a commercial firm, technical school or Navy school.
Must possess the following PC skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point and Windows. Other: Working knowledge of LINUX desired.
