Maintain, service or repair all out-of-scope computers and associated computer equipment. This includes telephones, stand-alone computers, wiring connections, two-way radios, printers, CCTV, CATV and key and door control systems. Liaison for agency with VITA and technology subcontractors. Coordinate and troubleshoot the repair of all equipment serviced by the Northrup Grumman contract. Prepare and maintain auditable records., Assist with inventories as needed.
High School Diploma or equivalent. A valid Driver's license. Extensive working knowledge of repairing computer equipment, peripherals and electronic devices. Demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair computer and electronic equipment. Demonstrated skills in trouble shooting and preventive maintenance in relation to technology. Ability to operate and train others on personal computers and related software. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with others in giving and obtaining information, in following prescribed operating instructions, in training, directing and working with others. Organizational skills for planning technology projects.
Prefer electronics training in a trade school/college. Prefer experience at a Correctional or Law Enforcement facility. Prefer knowledge of perimeter security and public address systems. Prefer knowledge in two-way radio systems. Prefer knowledge of VITA guidelines.
