The Emergency Services Operations Coordinator is an RN who assumes responsibility for the overall delivery of patient care through the mission, vision and values defined by Carteret General Hospital. The Emergency Services Operations Coordinator is an extension of the leadership of the organization.

On the ground leader who has the responsibility and capability to provide supervisory, operations and administrative support to the Emergency Department staff in conjunction with the Emergency Services Director. Responsibilities include the ongoing assessment of the day to day situation and initiation of actions needed to handle for issues at hand operationally. Possesses the following characteristics/qualities: positive attitude, confidence, flexibility, humor, responsiveness, ability to delegate effectively to peers and subordinates. Required Certifications : ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC. Certification in respective Department - to be obtained in 1st year. At least 3 years of experience with previous charge nurse experience. QUALIFICATIONS : Current license to practice as an Registered Nurse in North Carolina; BNS preferred; Demonstrates clinical expertise and scientific knowledge related to area of practice; Demonstrates ability in leadership, teaching, and management; Familiarity with current trends/issues pertinent to hospital patient care practices and health care issues.
