- Explore future trends in evolving technologies and maintains awareness of current trends in the field.
- Collaborate with departments to showcase technology achievements
- Collaborates with the Digital Initiatives Librarian on emerging technology needs
- Maintain close communication and knowledge of hybrid and online course development needs with Information Technology Instructional Design Specialists to research and provide technology solutions
- Promotes, develops and supports the Library's technology-rich learning environments such as the Knowledge Market and Innovation Zone.
- Provides and/or coordinates digital exhibits of emerging technologies
- Coordinates with the Library Program Manager on digital exhibits in the Library
- Collaborate with Academic Computing and Instructional Design for eLearning to research and support academic technologies used in the classroom
- Assists Computing and Technology Support to the GVSU community as it pertains to new technologies
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to showcase emerging technologies
- Commitment to providing outstanding service and support to faculty and staff
- Ability to set priorities in a rapidly evolving environment
- Coordinate annual Teaching and Learning with Technology Symposium
- Manage equipment staged and/or housed in showcase room
- Other duties as assigned

Responsibilities - Non-essential Functions

Required Qualifications and Education
- Bachelor's degree in Educational Technology
- Minimum 2 years working with educational technologies, both hardware and software, in a professional environment
- Proven experience in Windows and Macintosh systems setup and implementation
- Proven experience with tablets and other mobile computing devices
- Project management experience
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Proven ability to work in team collaborative environment

Preferred Qualifications and Education
- Knowledge of Cellular Wireless data technologies
- Knowledge of Mobile applications - understand process of development to deployment
- Knowledge of Wireless LAN technologies
- Professional experience in Higher Education
- Knowledge of how emerging technologies enhance learning
- Knowledge and/or experience in learning management systems
- Experience with a wide array of classroom technologies

Job Classification/Range (For Hourly Staff Only)

Salary Range (For AP/Faculty Only)

Commensurate with experience
