Carthage College seeks a dynamic and innovative individual to fill the newly created position of Internship and Employer Development Coordinator. The Coordinator will enhance and develop the College’s already strong internship program. This high-profile position is expected to conduct a proactive, assertive employer relations campaign and serve as primary point of contact for employers. This individual will develop and implement a plan for increasing internships and after-graduation employment opportunities for Carthage students in both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors.

Qualifications: Must have the proven ability to build and sustain employer relationships; ability to work collaboratively with students and faculty; superior program development and implementation skills; knowledge of Internet resources. A degree in business, student development, higher education, or related field is required; master’s preferred. Knowledge of the employers in the Milwaukee/Chicago corridor preferred.

Carthage was founded in 1847 and is a private college of liberal arts and sciences affiliated with the ELCA Lutheran Church with approximately 2,500 full-time and 720 part-time students. The College awards degrees in more than 40 subject areas and has a long-standing commitment to educating the whole person by nourishing the intellectual, spiritual, emotional, social, and physical dimensions of students’ lives. The College is located on the picturesque shores of Lake Michigan midway between Chicago and Milwaukee and is a focal point in the Kenosha community.
