General Summary

Working collaboratively across both online and ground campus environments of CTU, the Employer Engagement & Career Networking Specialist is responsible for the strategic development and tactical implementation of initiatives, events and activities that establish and nurture relationships with employers, recruiters, professional organizations, faculty and other career influencers in order to help CTU graduates and alumni connect with job opportunities.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Identify appropriate employer and recruiting targets for which CTU graduates and alumni would be a viable talent pool, then pursue, establish and maintain relationships with those targets
  • Identify key faculty and contacts within relevant professional organizations for all CTU program and discipline areas, then pursue, establish and maintain relationships with those contacts
  • Create and maintain access channels for CTU graduates and alumni to real job opportunities with the aforementioned targets and contacts
  • Develop and implement career networking initiatives, events and activities that further bridge CTU graduates and alumni to contacts and job opportunities
  • Maintain an up-to-date record of all communications with students, graduates and alumni in a timely, accurate and thorough manner within the school’s internal system(s)
  • Conduct ongoing assessment of the effectiveness of employer engagement initiatives and career networking activities for CTU graduates and alumni
  • Uphold all CTU policies, procedures, integrity, and ethical standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Experience in promoting events and activities to an online audience
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
Required Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum of three years of experience in higher education or related experience required
  • Experience with employer relations strongly preferred
  • Experience with alumni and/or student services strongly preferred
  • Experience with marketing and/or marketing communications desirable
  • Experience with online service delivery desirable
