TITLE: Employer Engagement Strategic Relationship Specialist Part-time
SALARIED OR HOURLY: Salary

JOB SUMMARY: (the purpose of the role)
The Employer Engagement Specialist will cultivate, grow and actively maintain lasting partnerships with employers in San Francisco, San Mateo and Marin Counties. The Employer Engagement Specialist is responsible for scaling employer partnerships resulting in employment/internship opportunities for Goodwill participants and meaningful engagement opportunities for the employer (volunteer, donations, interns, curriculum design, free training and services).

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (Accountabilities = the WHAT. Accountabilities:
Cultivate and establish mutually beneficial relationships with assigned target accounts and other local businesses to secure ongoing employment opportunities for participants
Work with employers to identify and facilitate meaningful engagement opportunities for the employer (volunteer, donations, interns, curriculum design, free training and services).
Partner with Career Advisor to actively engage participants in their job placement experience
Partner with Career Advisor to provide retention services to Goodwill participants
External liaison representing Goodwill in business community
Recruit, develop, and facilitate assigned industry business advisory committee
Achieve targeted placement outcomes

Responsibilities:
Generate job leads (both internal/external) that match qualifications of Goodwill re-entry participants, including warm leads through online job boards and other relevant sources
Maintain working relationships with outside employment partners and network with professional and business groups, as well as government and community organizations
Assist with hosting job fairs and recruitment events as needed
Assist in the coordination of “Job Club” activities, particularly on-site employer presentations
Maintain accurate employer, participant, placement file management and CRM database in accordance with CARF and agency standards
Manage hosting job fairs and recruitment events
Represent Goodwill at assigned networking events, job fairs and chamber and merchant groups and committee meetings to promote Goodwill’s employer engagement services
Report progress, outcomes and activities on an on-going basis
Maintain an in-depth knowledge of local labor market and employment trends
Attend professional development training as required
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor to serve as a role model for participants
Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS: (education, work experience, and technical competencies)

Bachelor’s Degree in Business – OR -- relevant experience
2 years direct sales or staffing experience
Experience working with the Re-entry population desired
Current Career Development Facilitation (CDF) certification required or completed within the first six months in the position.
Able to access and interpret labor market information
Effective written, verbal, presentation skills
Proficiency in MS Office and understanding of Client Relationship Management (CRM) systems
Understands the special employment needs of diverse groups. Is able to adapt materials and services to address these needs. Respects and has knowledge of cultures, ethnicities, gender, sexual orientations and age groups other than one’s own, able to work effectively with all.
